About our home

Bright, tastefully decorated, comfortable, modern home with stunning sea views on small, friendly, gated urbanisation. The property has 2 double bedrooms; 2 bathrooms and 2 patios - one of which is totally private!

There is a shared pool and tennis court on the urbanisation, and it is only 15 minutes walk to the beach below, which can be seen from both the kitchen sink and the patio!

More about us

  1. I am divorced and live alone, having escaped from a very demanding job in the UK in 2005. I have not done a house exchange before, and I would like to arrange things some time in advance so that we can take time to get to know each other a bit, and ensure we all get as much as possible out of this experience.

Where is it?

Almunecar is a large, typically Spanish working town, and my home is in a quiet location, ten minutes walk from the sea and many lovely restaurants. This area of Spain is nothing like the Costa del Sol - there are not many English people around, and it is known as the Costa Tropical, as it is very green and mangos, avocados and bananas grow in abundance. You can stroll along 8 kilometres of seafront and enjoy excellent shopping facilities in the town centre, which is a five minute drive away. If you hire a car, it is also ideally situated to explore the beautiful, remote mountainous countryside in the Alpujarra region (made famous by Chris Stewart in Driving Over Lemons) and Granada, where you can wander round the Albacin and visit the stunning Alhambra.
