The property is a 3 bedroom house, located in Álora, which is a municipality and authentic Pueblos Blancos (White Village of Andalusia). The house has: a living room, kitchen with dining area, single bedroom downstairs (currently used as an artist atelier), 2 double bedrooms upstairs (one with desk and opens onto the roof terrace), 2 bathrooms/shower rooms, and two story roof terrace overlooking Mount Hacho.
We only ask you take care of our plants, there is a cleaner who comes once a week but the plants need a little extra care (and water!) as the weather warms up. The house is located on a hill (although I have seen many elderly people walk up that hill with no problem). At the bottom of the hill is a grocery store, bakery, post office, tourist office, and other shops. The main plaza of Álora is a 3 minute walk from our home, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and more shops.
The house is also used as an artist residency and a space where we develop new work. Malaga central is 30 minutes by train. There are some amazing bars in the town and some of the best tapas I’ve ever had in Spain. The beautiful beaches of Malaga are only a short train ride away. Malaga Centro, El Chorro, Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, Gibraltar, Marbella, Nerja, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Mijas, Fuengirola, and Ronda are all close by. This is an excellent location to see all of Andalusia, as wikipedia says "Álora is the crown in the Valle del Guadalhorce between three hills on the right bank of the Guadalhorce river".
