About our home

Our home is an old Spanish Rancho style detached house, set in its own land of 4 hectacres, which is surrounded by national park. We are looking for a longer exchange of up to 6 months in Florida in 201/17, but we are open to suggestions. The house itself is rustic, so living is basic with solar power (don't bring hairdryers) if you want an escape back to basic living in the wonders of nature this could be for you. We have an orchard of fruits including orange, lemon, apple, pomegranite, grape vines, avocado trees, 100 olive trees, 70 almond trees, With the exception of olives there will be fruit on all the trees in the summer. We are currently developing the vegetable plot. We have awesome wildlie around us including wild pigs, badgers, lynx, eagles, and many many birdlife. This is a rustic villa for basic living, please do not expect luxuries. We offer our range rover and VW transporter to get around in and ask that you look after our dogs, cats and ducks when we are not there. We are very happy to care for pets or larger animals that you have in exchange. If you want an scape to study, paint or draw this is for you. We are 15 minutes drive to the closest small village and 25 minutes to a slightly larger town. One hours drive to Malaga airport. There is limited English speakers locally so Spanish would help although the people are very friendly. We have a water deposit which we use as a pool in summer, again it is basic but welcoming in the heat of the summer. There is no air conditioning but evenings are bearable with the windows open, or camp outside in the stars!
