About our home

This second home was built as a combined artist studio. The gated community with mainly permanent smapish residents have an underground parking and a swiiming pool. It is 1 km from the beaches, and 1 km from the city centre.

  1. I am a professional international artist and a single parent of a young teenage daughter.

  2. Originally from Norway, I work and live in Paris, and have an artist studio in Spain. I am interested in music, art, design and architecture.

  3. I travel mostly to locations where I can find new opportunities, have projects, exhibitions, sometimes alone or otherwise with my daughter.

Guardamar is a municipality of the province of Alicante located at the mouth of the river Segura in southern Valencia (autonomous community), Spain. It is a Mediterranean resort, with a large pine forest abutting an 11-km-long white sand beach. Historically an area of fishermen and farmers, Guardamar del Segura is the southernmost point where Valenciano (a dialect of Catalan) is spoken. Guardamar has some of the best beaches in Spain. Guardamar Playa del Campomar is at the southern end of Guardamar. Guardamar Moncayo beach - Playa del Moncaio, is the next beach going northwards from Playa del Campomar. Next, going northwards is Roqueta Beach - Playa la Roqueta. Next, is Centro Beach - Playa Centro. Next, going northwards, is Guardamar Playa de le Babilonia - After the Centro beach follows the Playa de le Babilonia, where you will see the old fishermens cottages. Next, the Vivers Beach - Guardamar Playa del Vivers. Also here, you will see the Dunas De Guardamar and a little further on, the mouth of the river Segura and the Marina de las Dunas of Guardamar del Segura. Next, Guardamar Playa Los Tusales - This beach is on the other side of the river Segura going out of Guardamar.
Day tripping
Any month of the year, there's always many things to do in Guardamar. You may want to: Visit the Reina Sofia park which has a beautifully designed lake, trails and waterfalls - the children will love to watch the peacocks, squirrels, turtles, ducks, birds, etc, that all roam freely about in the lakes and grassed areas, plus a dedicated play area for children which has loads of swings, slides, see-saws etc etc. Or visit the large picnic areas by the northern part of the beach. Maybe visit the magnificent castle in Guardamar. Go to the pine forests. See a typical Spanish fiesta. Get some expert tennis coaching from the resident tennis coach in Guardamar.
