About our home

The flat has about 60 square metres. There is a – for Spanish standards – spacious kitchen, a living/dining room and a large balcony where we have all our meals when we are there. The smaller bedroom looks out to a patio, and the master bedroom has a window onto the balcony and, like the balcony, beautiful views to the sea and cape ‘San Antonio’. There is a private car park for the residents of the building in the yard.

The apartment (address: Avenida del Mediterráneo, 170, Jávea) is very well situated: along the seafront there are two urban nuclei, the port to the North (about 700 mtrs. from the flat), and the ‘Arenal’ (= sandy beach) to the South (about 400mtrs). At the ‘Arenal’ you can find, apart from the beach, shops, restaurants and different ‘night spots’. In August you may find the Arenal beach too crowded. Just across the street from the flat the shore is made of rocks, ideal for diving. Some 300 metres to the North there is a beach with pebbles, where there are far less people than at the sandy beach.
At the port you can also find restaurants, shops, another beach and the departure point for ships that go to various towns along the coast. Between the port and our flat you can hire surfboards, boats, jet ski. In case you should get tired – or thirsty, there are about six beach bars right next to the sea, where you can sit in the shade and enjoy a cold beer or an ice-cream.
In the neighbouring town of Denia you can get a ferry to Ibiza and the Balearic Islands.
Some 90 km further to the north there is the city of Valencia with its beautiful antique town centre and its avantgardistic architecture.
