About our home

We have a lovely flat in Barcelona city centre, in the Eixample district, a lively neighbourhood with tons of takeaway and restaurants for you to enjoy.

It has a good size (3 rooms, 2 bathrooms) and a balcony with plants and a table for cozy breakfasts.
(The flat is around 90m2 plus the balcony.)
It is a perfect choice to get to know the city while relaxing on a comfortable Catalan home. (Check the pictures for a detailed map of Areas and Landmarks).

The flat is provided with: TV surround + DVD player, Wi-Fi, 1 master bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with a foldable double bed. However, we'd prefer to exchange with 2 people max.

Location (see detailed map among the pictures):

-20 min walking to Universitat square, in the heart of the city
-22 min walking to Casa Batlló, one of the most beautiful modernist buildings
-15min walking to Passeig de Gràcia (main street).

Eixample, which translates as "extension" in recognition of its status as the newer part of the city, is a large area north of Plaça Catalunya spreading left and right of Passeig de Gràcia.
Nowadays Eixample is famous for being home to the majority of Barcelona's art nouveau masterpieces, and a high-class residential and shopping area.
Passeig de Gràcia is the heart of Eixample and the line that cuts the area into two from "Eixample left" and "Eixample right". Along this road are La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, two of Gaudí's characteristically dreamlike buildings. There are many interesting art galleries in the area and if art appeals then be sure to have a look in Fundacion Antoni Tapies which is just off Passeig de Gràcia and has a permanent collection of this Catalan artist's work, or La Pedrera - Casa Milà.

-2 min walking to metro station Hospital Clinic.
-Plenty of bus lines right on Villarroel Street, 1 min away.

You have a local market 5 minutes away and plenty of supermarkets, including Mercadona, right next to the market, which is a supermarket chain great in prices and local food (its brand has a very good quality).

Villarroel street is a great street for restaurants, you can find anything in our surroundings, which is great for foodies. Just tell us your preferences.

We will be happy to give you directions and recommendations, we are restaurant hunters so if you love local food and people, we’ll give you all the information you need. Barcelona is full of life, if you enjoy meetups and social events online, we’ll provide you with a list of groups you can join.
