About our home

Stunning 185 square m. apartment in the core of Barcelona's Known Victorian neighbourhood, the Eixample. Located in a small quiet (barely no traffic; there's not even traffic lights) street between Passeig de Sant Joan and Bailén, our place has a large double bedroom, a huge kid's room (where a double matress can be placed, there's still a crib and now we're bringing in a single bed), dressing room, washing room (whashing machine & dryer) computer room (Wi-Fi available) a beautiful very well equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms (one walk-in shower, one bathtub, one for guests) . Car could also be available (I drive a 320 BMW), might come in handy in order to explore Barcelona's surrounding area. Best cable TV options available in Spain (Canal + -iPLus). We moved in last december, though after one night we felt absolutely at home. This place has a great vibe, an intensity. However, some of the photos were taken just right after we moved in, some of then were taken at night, so basically the place now it's more functional than it may look on them... Occasional smoking allowed, especially in the computer room.

Eixample constitutes to me the real center of Barcelona (and, as I was growing up, the center of the world). Build about 100 /120 years ago on the woods between the old Gothic city and Gràcias's Old Village, features the biggest concentration of art nouveau-type of arquitecture in the whole world, being the most well known examples Gaudi's Sagrada Familia and Pedrera house. We live on Ali Bei street, close to Bailén And Passeig de Sant Joan, which take you all the way up to Gràcia (a small village that used to be off city limits, and even today keeps a certain character of its own) in a walk, while being right in the city center. Close to main subway, bus and train stations, plus the Aero bus (to go / come back from the airport). Living in the Eixample's also a great way of avoiding massive flocks of tourists (even if it's only a three minute walk from our place, it makes a world of a difference) while getting a taste of how real life in this city is, and how cool it can be. Definately a great location to explore the city. And in Barcelona, despite of having a big city lifestyle and mentality, everything's at walking distance...

I'm a self employed financial adviser who works at home, also halfway done with psichology studies at UB. I grew up in the neighborhood, just a few blocks up, and i absolutely love this city. Me and my girfriend Julia, and our 3 year-old son Flynn love this new apartment of ours... In the summer my other son (Aidan, 10 years old) usually comes along for a month or so. Julia is from Hamburg, Germany, so feel free to contact in deutsch. On parle français aussi. The exchabge does not have to be simultaneous. Thanx!!
