About our home

Light & colourful newly and chicly decorated apartment, only a few minutes walk to Mar Bella beach and its summer beach bars, then a few minutes further to the huge copper fish at Port Olimpica. A short walk to the Metro with The Gothic Quarter, trendy El Born & the elegant shopping and Modernist architecture of Passeig de Gracia only 10 minutes from there. People say our beachside neighborhood of Poble Nou has all the charm of how Barceloneta 'used to be' before the influx of mass tourism and Hen Parties! We love the area, and have lots of local recommendations for you to enjoy.
The apartment is set up so that you can cater for yourselves and eat indoors or or on the balcony overlooking the park. Or you can walk out and sample all the tapas and culinary delights that Barcelona is famed for.
We have a huge, cosy king size bed in the main bedroom and a day bed in the study which converts to a double bed if there are four guests.

Neighbourhood

Buzzy restaurants
Lots of open-air eating on our own Ramblas, plus great restaurants tucked away from cheap & cheerful to one of Barcelona's best seafood restaurants.
Cool bars
We have several cool cocktail bars nearby, plus those specialising in the new cult of Vermut. Terrific beach bars throughout summer are only minutes away.
Cozy cafés
Chocolate con churros? Coffee and better pastries than in Paris? And perhaps a glass of cava too! All with scarcely a tourist in sight.
Retail therapy
Enjoy our local covered market, numerous green grocers, butchers and fishmongers as well as some great little supermarkets too. And you are only 15 minutes from the elegant shopping of Passeig de Gracia and Eixample, and the world famous Boqueria market too.
Bit of culture
We are around 15 minutes by public transport to all the major sights of Barcelona: Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, El Born and all the modernist architecture of Eixample. Public transport is quick, cheap and runs until the early hours of the morning.
Spot of exercise
Being so close to the beach there are plenty of outdoor gym machines for fitness, and a lovely flat area on the way to Mar Bella beach which is beloved by roller bladers.
Day tripping
You probably won't want to leave Barcelona, but if you ever get the urge you can reach ski fields in 90 minutes, visit Gerona in about the same time and even cross the border for a day trip into the South of France. Sitges is just half an hour away, as are a beautiful array of other famous beaches both to the north and south.
