Currently looking for a '15 Fall semester BCN - NYC (ideal UES) swap!
We and another couple just build our new home in Barcelona after years of dreaming about it. Yes, from buying the plot to choosing every detail of the kitchen or the living room. So imagine the love and care we put in what we offer you... You'll love it, the highceilings, the modern furniture, the safe and perfectly communicated neighbourhood ... and of course its amazing private garden (yes, you will be able to pick some lemons or rest under the palm tree)
The house has three levels. In the ground floor you’ll find the 5 meters high living and dinning room, the semi-open kitchen, a kids play corner, a small home office and a bathroom with a bathtub. The ground floor is obviously the main acces to the garden too, acessible through a 5x5 meters private deck with a table and chairs (great to have your breakfast!).
At the mezzanine there’s a TV room with a large sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two adults, a small library and a open working space overlooking the garden.
In the last floor there’s the master bedroom (not huge but with a Queen bed) with a balcony over the garden, a second bathrrom with a big shower and the kids bedroom with an Ikea wooden bunk bed with a balcony over the street.
There’s a communitty basement free to use with a sofa, a fridge and a nice ping-pong table (cool :-).
And then, of course, the garden, a truly oasis in the middle of the city. It’s 27x6 meters big and partially shared with (just) a neighbour (yes the couple with whom we build the house). It has a small playground, a modest vegetable garden, a fruitful lemon tree, a very tall cactus and a even taller palm tree. You’ll love it.
A quick note about the neighbourhood. Sants, google it. A safe and commercial area perfectly communicated, close to Montjuic park, shops, restaurants… Great for exploring Barcelona and the country since we are 10 min walking from Barcelona's main train station (Sants Estació).
