“Carme and her husband Jordi were the sweetest hosts. They took off into the mountains while we looked after their flat. The location is up on the hill in Vallvidrera Superior, overlooking Barcelona. It is a few degrees cooler here in the summer and more bearable in the hot months. The living room has plenty of space, seating, a large dining table and THE most spectacular, jawdropping view over the city. We even saw a shooting star together! On public transport you can make it Plaza Catalunya in approx 30 minutes and in 45min to the city beach. The fun fair on the top of the hill is a 30min walk or an excellent 15 minute run. The property was very clean and very well stocked. Absolutely no problems. Quite the contrary, we were very happy to find a few drinks, snacks and beers, which we replaced when we left. (Rental) car parking was no problem outside the house. I recommend getting a car to explore the Costa Brava. You have probably 100 beaches in 90 minutes driving reach. We went to a different one every day. Internet was fast and reliable. Important for work and kids. If you want explore Barcelona and surroundings (by car) with your family I can highly recommend this Carme and Jordi's flat!”

“We had the best time at Carmen's apartment in Vallvidrera, Barcelona. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and modern and our family fitted in perfectly. We loved the quiet location with far reaching views of Barcelona. We spent many evenings on the terrace with drinks and snacks enjoying the view al fresco. Carmen and her family gave us the loveliest welcome, they were easy to reach and trusting and relaxed handing over their home. Transport was easy, 30-40mins to Central locations. highly recommend this spot to explore Barcelona! ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Carmens place. Her place is exceptionally clean. Carmen and her family are great hosts and cleared up wardrobe and a lot of free space for us. The view from living room and bedroom to the city and beach is amazing. The photo undersells it. Every night we sat on the balcony and enjoyed the view and the peace with a glass of wine. Location is in a local neighborhood and easy to get to city center Plaza catalonia. We've been to Barcelona a few times and this is the first time with a baby. Her place was just perfect as we can enjoy the city when we like and can stay away from the tourist mess and looking at its beauty from the apartment. Her place is also very spacious. We are a couple with a baby. Later on another couple (our friends) came and we are 4.5 people and still had enough space. As guests Carmen and her family (husband and two children) are very friendly and took good care of our place. We came home and find our place almost cleaner than we left it ;) Overall, great experience and we'd love to swap with them again! ”
