About our home
Our flat has the best location possible in Blanes, in the middle of the bay. It is a second floor in a building with a lift.
The building has two entrances, the main one overlooks the sea and the rear one is in front of the City Council, in a pedestrian street where you can find the fruit and vegetable market every morning from Monday to Saturday.
You just have to cross the street to be in a nice family beach in the bay between the harbour and Sa Palomera rock, the door to the Costa Brava.
The dining and living room has a great view which is like summer all year round due to the amount of sunlight let in. There are board games, toys and books here for you also.
The independent kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a laundry with washing machine and dryer.
A bathroom with an hydro-massage shower and three bedrooms complete the flat.
The main bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has bunk beds and the third one has two beds. You can ask for a baby cot and a high chair if needed.
Start the day early in the morning, at 6 am to see how the fishing boats leave the harbour to get the best fishing spots.
While fishermen are working you can go to Ca l'Orench, the best bakery in town, to get some bread and pastries for breakfast. You should also buy some oranges at the fruit and vegetable market in order to get a fresh orange juice.
After that nice breakfast you can go to the beach all morning and have lunch in any of the restaurants around, or you can go back to the flat for a quick lunch and a long nap!
Between 4-5 pm the fishing boats come back to the harbour followed by the seagulls and if you go to the harbour you will have the chance to attend the fish auction. Every fisherman takes home part of the captures of the day that later, his wife sells in the Portal del Peix, just 50 metres from our building. You can go there and get some fish for dinner.
After dinner is not time to rest! You should get a nice ice-cream and go for a walk all through the bay until you get to the mouth of the Tordera river, stopping to have a look at the crafts stalls you will find on your way.
Now you deserve a nice sleep if you don't want to enjoy the night life. There is a large number of bars and pubs to have a drink.

“What a fantastic location! Olga was a great host and made us feel very welcome. The flat was as described and the view from the lounge/ dining room was mesmerising. The fresh fruit and vegetable stalls in the lane behind the flat provided a wonderful start to the day and the food in nearby restaurants was very tasty. Easy location to explore the nearby coastal areas and cities and would recommend to others wishing to visit this beautiful part of Spain. Thanks again Olga.”

“We had a lovely stay in Blanes. Olga was really friendly and helpful. The apartment is lovely and has an amazing open view of the sea from the living room with a balcony where you can sit out and enjoy the view. The beach is literally outside the front door and there are restaurants on the seafront. Behind the flat, there is a road with a pharmacy, supermarket, shops and more restaurants and bars. Our favourite places to eat out were Sa Lola and Es Blanc. Both a bit pricey, but worth it for a treat. We also enjoyed exploring the beaches a little further afield. About a 20 minute walk uphill takes you to a lovely cove beach and you can take boat trips to other beaches around the area. If you take a car, I'm sure there is even more exploring to be done. I would highly recommend Olga's place for a lovely relaxing holiday. ”
