About our home

We have had our Spanish mountain retreat for 10 years. We have totally renovated it so it still has the traditional aspects of the area with the modern features that our family need! The main house has 2 fantastic double en suite bedrooms, 1 twin room, a main bathroom with a jet shower & bubble bath for 2 (!), lounge (views to die for), kitchen (all mod cons) lounge & diner and a Moroccan style courtyard to chill in. If that isn't enough the summer house is the icing on the Dpanish cake! This could be a self contained overspill area for an extra couple with a day bed, toilet & shower area (if required). Three terraces - 2 separate sun bathing areas & covered eating area with hammock - views all the way down the mountain!
With 2 children (boy & girl) under 10 we have every toy, craft & tech imaginable!

  2. Jamie is a full time Dad & Rachel has a construction company - no guesses who has the hardest job!!

  3. We both enjoy friends, family, cooking (well Jamie!), walking. Jamie loves mountain biking & extreme biking challenges. Rachel yoga & swimming.

Where is it?

Bubion is 1 of 3 hidden villages in La Alpujarra region of Granada in Spain, located just below the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. It is a very relaxed "traditional" spanish village full of character & such friendly people. It has some nice restaurants, bars (that still do fabuous tapas with your cerveza!) & craft shops but the views, walking & mountain biking is indescribable!
You are able to hire bikes (although we have them) & guides (walking & biking) & there is amazing horse riding also.
Only 40 mins from Granada with all the amazing sights that has to hold and 40 mins from the coast & some fantastic beaches!
