Our lovely home was built in 2008. Open plan living gives a great feeling of connectedness and space. The house is cool in the summer with great airflow. Set in a small farm, we have almond, olive trees and carob trees with beautiful views to the mountains. The large swimming pool with waterfall is wonderful for children. There is a large rectangular trampoline, slack line, a treehouse, trees to climb, and a table football table outdoors. Being on a small farm the environment is rustic, although the house is very modern. We are an eco-conscious family and would love to swap with like-minded people. Situated at the gateway to the Traumuntana and 15 minutes from Palma, the house is in a perfect location from which to explore the Island.
There is only one immediate neighbour who shares our almond field for sheep grazing. They have two donkeys who you can pet from the gate, and their two Labrador dogs spend lots of time sunning themselves in our garden when their owner is out.
We are 15 minutes drive from the ancient city of Soller, and the beaches and prominades of the Port of Soller, and 5 mins away from the train station for the famous steam train that goes to Soller and the Port.
Hiking enthusiasts will find a wide variety of mountain paths are just a few minutes drive from the house, and cyclists will find the house a wonderful base for cycling around the whole island.
The kitchen includes, microwave / oven, a second oven, induction hob and induction wok and a grill for tepanyaki.
We have one master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a family bedroom with double and single bed, 3 large single bedrooms, which can easily accommodate 2 beds.
Apple TV and wifi is available.
We love the peace and quiet of our house with the convenience to palma and the mountains and beaches.
Our home is also available to rent on a weekly basis.
We would love a swap in Cape Town, long weekend in Amsterdam and somewhere northern in February to see the northern lights!
