Old house in mallorquin town. The flat is spacious and becomes lots of light. We have 2 very big bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a big livingroom with sleepcouch, three small balconys and a terrace looking at the back of the house (and at the mountain).
Please have a look at the pictures, you can then have a sight at our daily life. We don't care much for "perfect homes" like in the magazines, but pretend to achieve a homely own place to stay. We love bright colours and plants, paintings and light. We also like to read and you would find many books in many languages (also for children).
Our place has a TV, DVD and external hardplate, satellite for german channels, internet DSL, air conditioned, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.
The main advantage of living in a small town (about 2000 hab) is its quietness and the feeling of "slow-living". You'll have nice views over the green hills of Mallorca, a town-market in the Plaça every wednesday and saturday and, walking up the town, wonderful sights over the valley.
Located in the mallorquin mountains and very close to the main city in the island (15 mn. by car). Living in an island means, the beaches are all around... but also the mountains are a doorstep away in here!! Great place for walking tours on the Tramuntana Mountains.
In the case you don't know the balearic islands, this is a very nice place to start.. This small town is totally "mallorquin", you won't be surrounded by tourists... and that's unusual for Mallorca!!
Enjoy the town square... wonderful place with children, elderly people, youth... Everyone who came to visit us was pleased about the town and the surroundings.
My daughter and I live in company of a dog and a canarian-bird. My daughter is 9, goes to school here in town. I am 41 and work as a german teacher in a public school. I love learning languages and practicing them. We have already made a simultaneous exchange with Rome 2009 (Listing 4031, you can ask for references!) and Paris 2010 which was great!!
Next summer we would like to make an exchange with Amsterdam, but we are open to other places.
If you are interested in an exchange with us, please contact us by mail with your proposal.
Thanks for visiting us!
