Calella is an upbeat and prosperous town, the tourist capital of the Costa Maresme, which is located in between the better known coastlines of the Costa Dorada and Costa Brava.
The resort offers the holidaymaker a host of attractions and facilities. A huge selection of bars, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife is on offer. During the day there is always heaps to do. Calella is a modern and busy resort. During the summer months the town gets pretty full up with tourists, so if you are looking for a relaxed and traditional holiday resort, then Calella is perhaps not the right choice. The old Calella town is worth a visit, to find out about the history of the area and a stroll around the narrow, cobbled streets, taking in the ancient buildings. Here you can also find some more traditional tapas bars and restaurants.
