About our home

A glorious "small" classic country house. Completed in 2006 using the finest quality materials and enjoying superb views and a position offering the quiet of the country but with both Barcelona and Sitges within easy reach.

7 double bedrooms, 7 bath/shower rooms, 3 living rooms, large kitchen, integral 4 car garage, large swimming pool. Gas central heating and air conditioned. Softened water

Described by our architect (and guests) as "of ambassadorial standard" - which we wouldn't disagree with.
Private and secure.
598 m2 of accommodation set in 3450m2 of grounds, including the swimming pool, pond, orchards and garden, with terraces for sunbathing or outdoor eating on balmy Summer evenings.
Wood burning stove in the main living room and an open wood fire to the dining room/den.
Satellite TV and wifi.

There is as much or as little to do as you wish.

Visit a chocolate factory, see how cava is made, tour the extensive wine cellars of the Penedes, visit Barcelona for food, music, theatre, night life, museums, churches, tapas and much more, including excellent shopping.

Try Sitges for its bohemian atmosphere, 17 beaches, very vibrant night life or its film festival (October) car rally (March) fiesta major (August) tango festival (july) Gay Pride(june) wine festival (September) Corpus Christi (June) art festival (June) or get to grips with patchwork (March)
Local markets abound and good wine at less than 4euros make this a very enjoyable place.
The pool is great and with the telescopic cover and solar heating is usable most of the year, although best in the open air from April through October.

Our house was interior designed using first class hard woods, marble and granite so reflects a passing agenbut with all modern conveniences including all new shower and bathrooms, air conditioned bedrooms and living rooms, open fire in the den or wood burning stove in the main living room(1 of3) plus gas central heating, softened and filtered water.

The large pool has a telescopic cover which is pushed back for the Summer months and then used to cover the pool and deck in cooler months allowing with the solar panels use throughout the year.

We prefer to rent on a weekly basis from June through to the end of August at 6500 per week, including cleaning, linens, all towels etc. For the remainder of the year we are open to non simultaneous swaps or points.

We like to travel January through March.

The house is a vacation home as we live in Sitges, which is 8kms away. The house and grounds have been used for wedding parties, other celebrations, including an amicable divorce! and has been a retreat for celebrities and company board retreats with full catering service available.

Sitges is one of the closest towns and is renowned foor its bohemian and artistic lifestyle and community. With 17 beaches, 4 great museums, art galleries and eclectic shops and restaurants it is worth exploring. Barcelona is only 36kms away and is a "must see" destination for its art, history, retaurants and architecture and with a relatively low cost of living and visiting.
