About our home

Surrounded by breath-taking scenery with a view of an ancient floodlit Moorish Castle, Finca Devina is spaciously arranged around a beautiful courtyard. All the rooms contain the owner’s collection of art, antiques and Moroccan artefacts.

There are two main reception rooms and a separate quarter, with an open plan living room.. A south-facing loggia includes a barbecue with an outside dining area and a Moroccan fireplace in a separate covered seating area. The house comes with 4 double and 2 twin bedrooms with en suite bath/shower rooms and terraces plus a separate twin bedroom casita. A unique feature of Finca Devina is its spectacular infinity swimming pool which uses non-chlorinated water and is powered solar heating. For those of you that have children, it is a gated pool.

Approached via a typically rustic tract, the atmosphere is of a remote retreat, yet within ten minutes walk from Gaucin. The property’s English speaking manager and Spanish staff are on hand to assist guests with all aspects of their stay. Additional cooking for lunch or dinner can be arranged with advance notice.

Finca Devina is only 30 minutes away from the bustling Costa del Sol. Drive another half an hour and you’re in surfing paradise Tarifa and the beautiful, unspoilt Costa de la Luz. The most beautiful beach of Andalucia is only one hour and twenties minutes away from your villa: Bolonia is a hidden gem on the Costa de la Luz. It constitutes a very impressive dune area. At the same time you can profit to visit the roman ruins of Baleo Claudia. On the Costa del Sol there are plenty coastal resorts with excellent beaches and cozy chiringitos where sardines are barbecued on the beach.

In Gaucin one finds the beautiful, unspoilt and crystal clear river Genal, a marvelous spot for fresh water swimming and fishing. Kids will enjoy themselves looking for frogs and even turtles or dive from the rocks.

Housekeeper visits 4 hours daily at a rate of euro 40 per day. Heating if required is paid separately depending on quantity of gas cylinders used (this can be up to Euros 100 per day).

There will be a surcharge of 350 euros per week for use of the Jacuzzi; please advise if group wishes to use as it takes 2 days to heat.

Rental range is euro 3,990, euro 4672 or euro 6195 low to high season.
