About our home

Esther and Julia's home is two storey house, part of a 1990's housing complex built around a well maintained garden with a communal gated swimming pool. Most of the neighbours are families.
The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge with a large TV screen and a well equipped kitchen. There is also a terrace with a table, chairs (direct access to the garden and pool) and a balcony off the main bedroom, on the first floor.
The house is specially welcoming for families with children (plenty of books, toys and games).

Features

More about us

  1. Six very successful swaps in France during the past 8 years. Now we would like to visit more countries.

We are a Franco-Spanish couple, Esther and Julia (two women), and we have twins Julia and Teo 15 years old. We own a restaurant in the city center: Botánico Café www.botanicocafe.es
We have done house swapping since our children turned 6 and all experiences were wonderful. We love art, music, cinema, literature. Everything related to culture. Our children are very polite and respectful. We will take care of your house as if it were ours.

Neighbourhood

About the location: at 5 min walk is the Albaicín district, a 1000 years old quarter of white houses, old churches and XVI th century palaces, grocery shops and bakers. There is a daily market of fresh fruits and vegetable on the main square of the Albaicín, plaza Larga. You´ll find many coffee houses all around the neighbourhood where to enjoy the traditional Andalusian breakfast and tapas bars.

At 10 min walk is the Sacromonte, an area made of cave dwellings and prickly pears bushes with stunning mountains and Alhambra views.

The modern center (XIXth century) is a 10 min bus ride or a 20 min walk down hill.

We are also very well located for access to Sierra Nevada and the ski slopes (30 kms) as well as the seaside Costa Tropical at 60 kms. 1 hour from Málaga and the beaches of the Costa del Sol. Granada is a city that is very easy to walk and on public transport and like all the historic cities traffic in the city center is very restricted.
