My home is not yet ready for visitors, but will be later this year and in time for the summer season in 2017. I'm completing this now so as to prepare for next year.
The property is quite large with extensive patio areas and a large, cool, covered porch and plenty of parking space. When completed, the house will accommodate up to six people in three double bedrooms, with the potential to sleep others if required. A fourth bedroom is used as my office, but I may put a single bed in it. There is also a separate, self contained cottage with two bedrooms suitable for a family of two adults and two children or four adults. There will be a swimming pool at the rear of the house, overlooked from the main bedroom via sliding glass doors. The pool area is completely enclosed and very private (please note that the pool is unsuitable for very small children and other children must be supervised at all times).
The house is within a few minutes walk from the village facilities, including a public swimming pool, gymnasium, todo (everything) shops, butcher, vet etc., and about 10 bars, with both Spanish and English customers. There is a supermarket a few minutes drive away, or a 20 minute walk if you feel inclined to exercise.
The village is close to the main highway and about 30 minutes drive from the nearest beaches, with good routes to the best tourist destinations such as Mojacar (a closely guarded secret) Almeria, Granada, Murcia, Cordoba, Alicante, Benidorm and many others.
The nearest main town is 11k from the village and features many interesting shops and a large open market every Tuesday. In Spain there are such markets in every village on various days of the week. And, of course, let's not forget the fiestas, which happen all around the province in different villages on different dates, so there is almost always one happening somewhere.
