About our home

Our 3 double bedroom townhouse is in a gated community with beautiful gardens and 2 large pools in Los Alcazares, a lovely unspoilt Spanish town. It's a well kept, fully equipped holiday home perfect for el fresco dining on the patio by the pool or eating out at the numerous restaurants and bars in the pedestrian mall 5 minutes walk away. Stroll along the pretty promenade stopping at the Spanish beach bars, hop on the bicycles or just laze the day away poolside or at the large blue flag beach with shallow, calm waters.

Our townhouse is configured to suit either a family or 2- 3 couples. There is a double bedroom and twin bedded room upstairs, large bathroom with bath/shower and bidet. Access to the private sun terrace is via the master bedroom balcony. Downstairs there is the third double bedroom, a small shower room and toilet, comfortable lounge/diner, and small kitchen. The paved patio is drenched in sunshine from mid-morning to sunset, overlooks the pretty garden and inviting community pool so is perfect for eating, reading or relaxing. There is also a small veranda at the front of the house which catches the morning sun and provides shade during the rest of the day. The house is well equipped for your stay including tv, iPod docking speakers, plenty of bath and beach towels, 4 decent bicycles (3 adult and 1 teenager), BBQ, private sun lounge with 4 loungers, a selection of board games and books. Parking is available on the road, but a car is not necessary unless you want to tour the surrounding area as the beach, restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets and some shops are all within easy flat walking distance.

Los Alcázares is a a small, but expanding coastal spa town and former fishing village on the western side of the Mar Menor in the autonomous community and province of Murcia, southeastern Spain. The town has maintained its Spanish charm, with only a few hotels and low rise housing. The population swells from 12,000 to over 100,000 during the summer months of July and August. It has a fantastic coastline with over 7 kilometres of sandy beaches with direct access to the warm shallow waters of the Mar Menor. Parallel to these beaches and running the entire length of town is the long promenade, which is great for walking and in the quieter winter months cycling. The town centre has a good selection of shops whilst the Bahia Centre in the Los Narejos area is packed with international eateries. The street market is held every Tuesday morning in Los Alcazares and in Los Narejos on a Saturday morning. Two golf courses are nearby in La Serena and Roda.
The historic port town of Cartagena and beautiful Alicante city are within 20 - 45 minutes drive along the coast. The historic city of Murcia is 40 minutes away through stunning mountain scenery. Many local fiestas take place in Los Alcazares and surrounding towns, lasting for days with delicious street food, traditional dress, entertainment and lively parades.

As this is our holiday home we use professional cleaners. If you are doing a points swap we charge €75 for cleaning and fresh bed linen. If you are doing a direct swap it is negotiable depending on the arrangements for your home. Please note, this is a residential community so a number of sensible rules apply to maintain it clean, tidy and to keep the noise to a reasonable level.
