“This apartment is advertised as a luxury 1 bed apartment, however, this is very misleading. There are no luxury items and it is not spacious. There is no dishwasher, no air-conditioning and the ceiling fans are inadequate to keep the place cool. The balcony was very cluttered and neglected and is nothing like the pictures shown. It is at the top of a very steep hill which is not mentioned and there are three lifts to negotiate before you can reach the apartment. It is stated that it is a 10 minute walk to Los Cristianos town when in fact it is more like 25 minutes. As it is a residential complex it lacks a holiday atmosphere and the corridor leading to the apartment is dark and dingy during the day. This was a holiday swap for us and we were not comfortable and felt very let down. ----------------------------- HOST'S RESPONSE ------------------------------------ * A disappointing and unjustified review, the first negative feedback in 18 years. This was a classic swap and communication with Bill was poor from the outset, he didn't want to discuss our apartment therefore he has unrealistic expectations. Very detailed information including location and the lifts was sent when the booking was agreed which just days before departure he advised that he had been too busy to read. * It is described as a residential complex, not a holiday complex and no mention of having a dish washer or aircon, neither are the norm in Tenerife vacation apartments. * The apartment is larger than most one bed apartments in South Tenerife, the balcony being 34 sq mtrs * The seafront promenade can be reached in 10 to 12 minutes, its longer to the town centre. * The balcony is exactly as pictured and not neglected. Following the many calima storms during the summer the sunbeds are marked but not dirty and these are due for replacement as soon as the supply is available.”
