About our home

We are in Andalusia, the sunniest and most southerly province of Spain. 320 days sunshine a year. Closest airport 1 hour. (Pickup can be arranged.) Never-lived in apartment built 2008. Tastefully furnished. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one ensuite. Large living / dining area, with modern kitchen adjoining. 1 double bed, 2 singles, 1 comfy sofa bed in lounge sleeps 2. Shared pool, pretty gardens, large shared outdoor area. Views of sea half a kilometre away. Wide safe local beach, big wide skies, mountains and sea views all round. Great beach bars and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment is 'in town' - a real, working small Spanish town not a resort, with all you might need, including banks, supermarkets, 'small shops', chemist, dentist, doctors surgery. A great place to live, work ... And holiday. Bright lights of Almeria, famous Tabernas Desert (home to spaghetti westerns including Clint Eastwood 's biggies), Cabo de Gata national park, cities of Granada & Cartagena, an hour or 3's drive; Seville , Malaga, Gibraltar & Cadiz a bit further., historic Cartagena an hour or 2's drive. Portugal and its famous Algarve beaches a day away. What more can we say?
Gateway to Morocco and North Africa. Vibrant village life including fiestas, saints' day celebrations ... Great food, including Scottish, British, Chinese, Indian, Lithuanian, and yes, even Spanish! Plus the best live music (and dance) this side of Beni. It's a happening place ... Yet very quiet and tranquil too. It's amazing. With one of the most enjoyable and yet less expensive life-styles in the world.
On second thoughts, why do I want to swap places?!
