About our home

The Apartment:
The apartment is beside the Segovia Bridge, in a building of just two apartments, ours and yours, each with its own roof-garden. It’s a comfortable, welcoming and quiet apartment, with wi-fi connection, a double bedroom with large windows giving directly onto a lovely leafy patio, a smaller bedroom with double bed, a large living room with two comfy sofas, (one of them a sofa-bed), a fully equipped kitchen, and of course, bathroom with shower. The patio is just off the living room, with table and chairs, or if you prefer, the roof-garden is just upstairs and is for your private use. It has everything you need to help you recover from a hard day's sightseeing, hammocks included.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
The neighbourhood has lots of small, family-run eateries, with friendly service and great prices, while the ciy-center is 10 minutes away.
Cool bars
This is Madrid. Nightlife is a speciality.
Cozy cafés
Too many and varied to list here
Retail therapy
Everything from Prada to the Rastro flea-market.
Bit of culture
World class art collections like the Prado, theatre, music, you name it.
Walks in the park
We're right beside the Casa de Campo, once the royal hunting grounds, now Madrid's largest park, and on Madrid River, the city's latest leisure project; 15 kilómeters of riverside walks and gardens.
Spot of exercise
I run along the river, but you can hire bikes, and skating's popular.
Day tripping
Amazing! Toledo, Segovia; Aranjuez, Salamanca...the list goes on.
