About our home

Our lovely apartment was constructed in 2000 by a well-known local architect Melvin Vilaroel in a gated community with 24hr security. It started off as our holiday home but we loved it so much that we decided to make it our permanent home in 2011. Our apartment is on the top floor (3rd floor) of our low rise block and we have stunning views over our communal tropical gardens and out to sea. There is an enormous shared free-form swimming pool in the gardens.
With a short walk to the beach you can stroll along the 'Paseo Maritimo' into Marbella town in one direction or to the famous (or infamous!) Puerto Banus in the other.
In Marbella town, which still very much retains its Spanish character, there are a great many restaurants and cafes to choose from, some very reasonable in price (contrary to its reputation). Marbella Old Town is so pretty with lots of little alley ways, restaurants, and quirky shops.
Visit Puerto Banus to see the swanky shops, people watch and admire the enormous yachts, and frequent the many night clubs!
Along the coast Estepona, the Rock of Gibraltar and Tarifa are interesting places to visit.
Of course there are many fascinating & historic inland towns to visit like Seville (about a 3hr drive away) or Granada (2 and half hrs away).
