About our home

Our home was built in 2017 front golf of La Cala Golf. You can drive down to the beach in 10 minutes. Being a bit higher up there are also lovely views to the mountains and Mijas Pueblo.
There is a garage for 2 cars, but also a drive with parking space for more cars. The villa has 3 bedrooms ( 1 downstairs + en suite bathroom and 2 upstairs ) and 2 full bathrooms and a guest toilet. All bedrooms are have double beds and large wardrobes. The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, hob, oven, micro wave and big fridge / freezer and is open towards the dinning room. The laundry room has a washing machine and dryer. All windows have security glass and electric blinds. The garden is all around the house with amazing views over the golf course. The pool has been built as a natural pound with salt filter.

More about us

  1. We are a couple of 58 years old , we don't have children but we have a middle size dog. We don't drink and don't smoke, however we don't mind smokers.

  2. We both are taking advantage of early retirement as we live in a place that provides sun all year round.

  3. My husband likes taking care of the garden , while I like design and arts and crafts.

Where is it?

There is lots to do and to see in this region. This is Andalucia.
Malaga is great city to visit, the cathedral and the Alczaba, Calle Larios is the shopping street. only 30 min from our home.
Benalamdena Puerto Marina is half way between us and Malaga, the marina is surrounded by lots of restaurants to choose from.
Marbella 10 minutes has a quaint old city centre with Plaza Naranja and Puerto Banus is just a bit further away for watching the jet set and the yachts.
Ronda is one of the white villages and has the very first bull arena that was built in Spain , also the highest bridge/ aqua-duct. burial place of Orson Wells. about 1 hour drive
Tarifa is a lovely old hippie town, lots of little restaurants and shops, immense beach. The best place to eat fresh tuna. 1.15 hour drive
Then there is Sevilla and Cordoba, both about 2.3 hours drive , lots to see in both cities. Old town of Granada is also worth a visit with the Alhambra ( reserve tickets well in advance), 1.3 drive.
The Camino Del Rey in Alora is considered the most beautiful and " dangerous" walk ways in Andalucia, definitely worth it. The walk is about 2 hours along the mountain ridge.
Cabopino beach is one of the most popular beaches with Andy's at the centre( live music every day), next to the nature reserve and nudist beach.
Chill beach clubs are all along the coast: Nikki Beach (expensive by Don Carlos hotel Elviria), South Beach (El rosario), La Cabane ( Los Monteros), Bono's Beach ( Costa Bella), Royal Beach (Calahonda), Ocean Beach ( very expensive Puerto Banus) Hippopotamus ( El Rosario) etc.....
Our village La Cala has lots of restaurants to offer: Little Geranium, Konfusion, El Olivo and many more, beautiful beach and a 7km boardwalk to Cabopino lines with beach bars. 7 Golf courses in the near vicinity. And of course restaurant El Jinete, almost next door to our house.
