About our home

PLEASE NOTE NOW FULLY BOOKED FOR JUNE JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER 2021 MINIMUM STAY 7 NIGHTS
Come and stay in our beautiful three bedroom (all en suite) detached villa and take in the spectacular 360 degree views of the sea and mountains from our private infinity pool and terraces. Swim up to the in-pool bar then relax at the outdoor bar area, or in any one of our many different terraces. Snooze in the sumptuous double bed in our private chill-out area with more views of the sea. Later, try your hand at table tennis on the sunken terrace before another dip in the pool.
Our large, white villa is in the lovely low-rise town of Mojacar, in Andalucía, Southern Spain. Mojacar has been voted one of the best places in Europe for ‘the good life’.
Perfect for couples and friends or families, but may not be suited for children under 5, due to pool area, check with us. Sorry NO PETS.
Typical Spanish interiors with fully equipped modern cherry wood kitchen, sun-lounge, comfortable TV lounge with smart tv with many channels, dining room, downstairs toilet, laundry room and quiet office area with wi-fi. Cupboard full of games. Surrounded by a large garden with flower beds, pomegranates, lemon & orange trees. We have parking for 2 cars at the villa.
Plenty of sun loungers to catch the sun and some pool toys for fun in the pool or boules, body boards and parasol for the beach.
Despite being in a quiet, residential area, we are only a five minute walk down to the gorgeous sandy beaches, where there are also plenty of nice bars, chillout beach clubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. Seven minute walk to the bus stops. The delightful whitewashed village (or pueblo) of Mojácar, with narrow streets and quaint houses is just a 10-15 minutes away by car/ bus ride.
CLEANING Please note that it costs us 150 Euros to have the villa cleaned. laudry and disinfecting completed so we ask for 50% share of this from our point swaps ie 75 Euros. No charge for classic swaps. Hope that you understand.

Nearest airports - Almeria; Corvera (Murcia) and Alicante.

Golf - 3 golf courses nearby, horse riding stables, diving, quad biking, (Banana Boat and Hobie Cats for hire in summer), hill walking, yoga, Pilates and art classes, etc, etc.
A beach and sun lovers dream. Either 'get away from it all’ around the private pool, with fab views of the sea or join in the holiday fun down at the beach. Hunt the Hidden Hammock! Photographers will be in heaven in this diverse area of Spain. Writers and artists will get their juices flowing, even naturists are catered for at nearby Vera Playa. There's a great waterpark not far away with loads of rides and large wave pool to keep all ages happy.
The lovely fishing town of Garrucha is just along the coast, 15 minutes by car/bus.
Cabo de Gata Natural Park is only a 25 minute drive away with deserted beaches and desert-like countryside.
English spoken in and around Mojacar, the further afield you go, the less English is spoken.
Granada and the Alhambra Palace are just over 2 hours away by car, add on another 30 minutes and you could be up in the Sierra Nevada for hill-walking or magnificent skiing in winter.
We’ve tried to think of everything you may need while in our home, including all bed linens and bath and beach towels; coffee machine; dishwasher; two ovens and large hob; washing machine; two fridge-freezers; drying area with pegs and a first aid kit.

More about us

  1. We're a couple in our early 60's. Our youngest daughter married a handsome New Zealander and they now live in Mount Maunganui with their first son. We have plenty of spare time to visit them, when allowed, but would prefer our own place to give them some space. We have 2 lovely homes, one's a large country cottage in Wales, UK and the other is a large Spanish villa overlooking the sea in Mojacar, Andalucia. We love travelling to almost anywhere but our favourite country in the world is New Zealand, and especially now, Mount Maunganui which we first fell in love with 10 years ago.

  2. Rosie is officially a semi-retired property investor but prefers to be a travel writer/photographer and wannabe artist when possible, and is a lover of the New Zealand way of life, NZ art and the magnificent scenery.
Steve is also a semi retired property investor, lover of NZ, the food and the beaches and all things rugby. If he's not watching rugby, he's talking about it! It's possible he could get hold of some tickets for games in Wales.

  3. Our two homes are quite different in style, but both are family focussed. We are lucky enough to live in one or the other during the year, but have no set schedule so we are very open to most dates. Our ideal time to be in NZ is January, February and March, but would love to visit at almost any time. Please just ask!
