“We had a wonderful time at Michael and Lynda’s house. Montejaque is a lovely village clinging to the hilltop and the house was exactly as described and with such a warm, welcoming feeling. Really comfortable beds and phenomenal views. From there we were able to walk to Ronda (11k, so a long walk!) and explore the region and there is even a swimming pool 2 mins away, pretty chilly in October but the kids still went in! Michael was extremely helpful and they also have a local property manager who met us, showed us around and was also lovely to deal with. Overall we can’t recommend the swap highly enough. Thank you so much Michael and Lynda for a lovely holiday. Chris and Anna ”

“Michael's home was just incredible, the perfect retreat for me and my family to relax, and at times, the surrounding areas were so quiet, we could hear a pin drop. The house was perfect for us, the beds were very comfortable with plenty of space to move around whilst having a very cozy and warm feel to it. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and lunch in the gorgeous dining room. Isabel the housekeeper was very helpful and informative with welcoming us into Michael's home and was on hand if we needed anything. We visited the communal pool which was beautiful, lovely and quiet. We made the most of our time there and visited Cuerva de Gato and Zahara, both highly recommended as is the Gorge of Ronda obviously. We will definitely be going back to Michael's home in the future.”
“ A lovely appointed house on the outskirts of Montejaque with a stunning view overlooking the canyon beyond..The house comfortably accommodated our party of 3 and we particularly enjoyed sitting in the shady courtyard on hot July days. It was also good to have access to a swimming pool only a short walk away. The only disappointment was that the WiFi was down for the duration of our stay, I got the impression that this might not have been the first time that it had happened! Just a word of caution for anyone with mobility issues, you have to park your car in the town and it is a steep climb up the hill to the town.”
“We had a wonderful time in Montesquieu, relaxing and away from the tourists of Ronda. Quite a few Poms in the village though!! Enjoyed waking up to the view of the mountains and having breakfast in the garden. An ideal location for walkers and to explore the wonderful scenery. Michael was an excellent communicator and gave excellent recommendations. Make sure you travel light, the parking is not outside the house and the path is steep. We did but our friends were less prepared. Thanks for the hospitality. John and Caty ”
“The second floor patio was a great place to have dinner, it had great views. We cooked breakfast and dinner every night there and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was a short walk to the corner market. Don't miss the cave paintings!”
“What a beautiful part of the world! We were fortunate enough to spend a week in Michael and Lindas' lovely home in Montejaque and loved every moment. Their house was just as described and a great bolthole in a village that seemed to defy gravity by clinging to the mountainside! The house was welcoming and comfortable, with fans in the living room and bedrooms that proved essential, as our arrival coincided with a heat wave. We had everything we may need including television channels from home to keep up to date with the news should we so wish! We had a great time in this lovely house and couldn't recommend any more highly, a visit to this beautiful Spanish retreat, a million miles from the 'kiss me quick' Costas and stag and hen weekends. Muchas gracias Michael y Linda, esperamos visitar su hermosa casa nuevamente!”
“We had a fantastic stay in Michael & Lynda's charming mountain house in Montejaque, our bedroom was just delightful, a rustic style with 2 Juliette balconies and stunning views of neighbouring mountains. The outside eating area was a sanctuary from the heat, with beautiful lush mediterranean plants and wonderful perfumes from the flowers. The Village itself is really picturesque and the people so friendly, it was a delight to be a small part of their lives for a few weeks!! As a couple we have been to many mountain regions around the world, but to stay in Montejaque, high in the mountains was something very special. Janet & Rob”
