About our home

A townhouse in Nerja on a small development of 10 houses that share a pool. Nerja is 45 minutes drive from Malaga airport and an hour from Granada airport. It is a lively town but the house is in a quiet neighbourhood. Nerja is very popular with tourists from Northern Europe but retains a distinctly Spanish feel and enjoys many local fiestas.
The house is within easy walking distance of beaches, supermarkets, restaurants and bars.
The house has 3 bedrooms and would sleep 6 but as one bedroom is in an air-conditioned basement that has no window we have listed it as a 2 bedroom property. The house has 3 terraces including a large roof terrace and the elevated position of the house allows views out to sea and to the mountains. Both the roof terrace (accessed by a spiral staircase) and the dining terrace have extensive canopies for protection in hot weather. In addition to the 3 terraces the master bedroom has an enclosed terrace, a pleasant place to sit on the rare days when the weather is inclement. There is a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. There is also a utility room on one of the terraces with a washing machine and a second fridge. There are 2 bathrooms both with showers. Additionally there is a cloakroom with a third W.C. There is a garage integral to the house which is available at most times of the year. The sitting room and all 3 bedrooms are air-conditioned.
The television receives UK television channels. There is a DVD player with a selection of DVDs. Wi-fi is available on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Nerja boasts a wealth of tourist attractions; outstanding beaches that offer snorkelling and diving, about 300 restaurants and bars, the world famous caves at Maro, a large range of shops. The surrounding area is mainly national parks and offers excellent walking and cycling in mountains and along the coast.
The major attractions of Southern Spain are all within reach for a day trip. These include the Alhambra at Granada (an hour's drive), the Picasso Museum and Alcazaba at Malaga (45 mins drive), the Mezquita , the Alcazar and the Arab baths in Cordoba (2 hours drive). Gibraltar, Ronda and Seville are also possible to visit on a day trip.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Buzzy restaurants
Many. We especially like Jacky's where there is an 8 course degustation menu with wine on Thursday for 25euros, Don Chisciotte is a good Italian restaurant. Playa y Sol is excellent and just 10 minutes walk from the house. Oliva is a very nice French restaurant Ajo's is fun and famous for paella, also 10 minutes walk. If you are there for a special occasion the tasting menu at Fusion is excellent but quite expensive. In high season reservations are advised for most restaurants
Cool bars
