About our home

Charmingly refurbished four years ago, our three-floored, four bedroom, beautiful Mallorcan townhouse house combines Mediterranean character with clean, bright, modern living.

It is spacious and calm, with plenty of outdoor areas including a large patio, covered terrace and sun roof. The house boasts incredible views across terracotta rooftops and the Tramuntana mountain range.

We have two very friendly cats and three goldfish which would ideally be part of the swap. They could also stay with a friend if you prefer!

Pollensa is one of the most exclusive and desirable towns in Mallorca. It is in the North of the island and surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. There is so much to do for all ages.

This is the ideal place for a family holiday. Pollensa has a large open air pool and tennis courts, a wonderful Sunday market where you can buy local produce and delicious fruit and vegetables as well as cheese, ham and presents to take home. The main square has many alfresco cafes and restaurants perfect for a relaxing evening out. In August there are some exciting fiestas which are not to be missed!

The old fishing port is a 5km drive or short cycle. Here you can enjoy a seafood lunch overlooking the glistening sea. Other nearby beaches include Cala San Vincent and our favourite, the famous Formentor beach.

If you have children or teenagers, they could do tennis, dance, basketball. sailing or outward bound summer camps. It would be a great way to learn Spanish and Catalan and they are very reasonable. We can help you organise these, if you are interested.

Our house is available for rent in August and for swaps in late June 2015.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Buzzy restaurants
Our favourite is Trencadora, a few minutes walk away.
Cool bars
Head to the main square and take your pick!
Cozy cafés
Manzanas y peras at the foot of the 365 Calvario steps is a good choice.
Retail therapy
There are some good clothes shops in Pollensa but head to Palma if you really want to shop.
Bit of culture
There are traditional fiestas throughout the year, which are fascinating and a lot of fun. Palma is a 40 minute drive or bus ride and has wonderful museums and galleries to explore.
Walks in the park
The Puig de Maria monastery overlooks Pollensa. Walk to the top and enjoy views of the town and the sea. There is also a cafe, restuarant and you can even sleep in a monk's cell. A walk along the port's charming pinewalk is a must. Or head into the Tramuntana mountains, there are over 80 walks. One of them is 120km long (some people run it!)
Spot of exercise
Swim in the sea, run in the mountains, play tennis at the local courts, go diving or waterskiing, take a sailing course, try your hand at canyoning, hire bikes and cycle to the Formentor lighthouse....this is sporting heaven.
Day tripping
Soller, Palma, Cabrera island, one of the many waterparks, Formentor or Muro beach, Capdepera or head to Manacor - where you might bump into Rafa Nadal.
