About our home

The property is an original fishermans cottage in a fishing village in Andalucia, the South of Spain where the sun shines most of the year. Our neighbours are Spanish, friendly and welcoming. Spanish is the language spoken here. Our home is rustic, interesting and quirky. All modern amenities available. The views from all of the rooms are fabulous. The terrace is sunny, large and the views are gorgueous. As the property is located on the coast, 'Costa Tropical', we have 4 beaches within easy walking distance, 2 of which you can see from the terrace and kitchen window. The area is safe for children as cars are not allowed on our street, this means that the village is therefore clean and quiet, a haven of relaxation especially in the afternoons (2-5pm) where 'siesta' is a serious occupation. The village itself is quaint and non touristy. There is a bakery, tobacco/sweet shop, grocery store selling mainly organic vegetables/fruit, a hairdressers shop, a pharmacy, local bus service and 3 bars all which serve free tapas with each drink. Historically the village also has the last sugar cane factory at the bottom of the hill (now abandoned), this is where you can park your car and walk up the steep hill to the house, excellent exercise but not for the elderly, infirm or disabled.
