About our home

Situated in the beautiful old town of San Roque with amazing views of Gibraltar and Morocco our house is one of a kind. If you are looking for a genuine Andalucian experience you won´t be disappointed. The house which is about 150 years old has a lot of character with gorgeous Andalucian tiles and Arabic influences. There is a delightful patio with a swimming pool and an amazing roof terrace with fantastic views. We have 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms two of which have sofa beds. The house is located in a quiet square with a 5 mins walk to the town´s best tapas bars and restaurants. Gibraltar is only a 15 mins drive and some of the best beaches in Southern Spain are located close by in Sotogrande, the Costa Del Sol and the stunning Costa Del Luz. Kite surfing capitol Tarifa is located only 40 minutes away.

The house is not suitable for very young children as being an old house there are some steep stairs. However, older children will enjoy the pool and the town of San Roque has some great parks and squares. We also have a very old cat Tomate, He is 16 years old and very affectionate.

More about us

  1. My name is Carmen and I was born in England but my father is Spanish and was from the local area. My husband Jon is English and we have lived and worked near Gibraltar for over 20 years. We have 2 boys Lucas and Ruben aged 16 years and 11 years of age who were born in Spain

  2. Jon works in Gibraltar and heads up a Sports Trading team. I run our new holiday let business and at times teach English and volunteer for a local charity.

  3. We love the typical Andalucian white-washed houses and our house reflects this style with it´s decorative tiles and central patio and well. There are also heavy influences from our neighbouring country Morocco.
