We are a couple with a little boy, Max, and we live in this home that was fully remodeled in 2015. It has two double bedrooms, 1 kids bedroom and a studio room.
It lies just by the pedestrian-only streets of Sant Cugat, where you can stroll and find plenty of plazas and terrazas where to enjoy Spanish way of life. Sip from a glass of wine by the medieval monastery or enjoy a vermouth by the old city hall! There's also lots of commerce. And 2min walk from Parc Central, where you can jog in the morning or walk with the kids into any of its great playgrounds.
The house is 3 minute walk from the train station with direct connection to Barcelona city centre, making it very easy to spend the day visiting the big city and then coming back to relax away from the noise and conventional tourism.
Sant Cugat del Vallès is a town located only a few kilometres away from Barcelona. It is one of the richest towns in Spain by inhabitant income. Its monumental heritage, lead by an ancient Benedictine monastery, is surrounded by natural areas of great beauty.
The city centre has beautiful examples of Modernist architecture. Sant Cugat del Vallès is a privileged spot, from an environmental point of view. Central Park (Parque Central), located at the heart of the urban centre, is the main green area in the city. Nearby we find Collserola Park, considered to be one of the biggest metropolitan parks in the world. In this town, a number of interesting routes originate, such as the one that goes from Can Borell to the Romanesque hermitage of Sant Medir, going through a gorgeous landscape of forests and riverside vegetation. There are many spots where you can rent a bike nearby and enjoy a day in nature, having lunch at a typical masía.
From Sant Cugat you can also access many of the beach spots in the Catalan coast, Castelldefels, Gavá, Sitges, Maresme... all within a 30-40min car drive range.
