Our home is located in Costalita, one of the most sought-after beachfront complexes in the Marbella area, on the sunny Costa del Sol of Andalucía, Spain. It is surrounded by fantastic gardens with tropical trees, streams, ponds and paths leading to the beach, where we have two great beach bars/restaurants. The swimming pool is just outside our apartment and the beach a mere 50 metres. The location of our apartment is ideal for golfers, with several renowned golf courses within a 5 min drive. It also enjoys a central location from where to visit all the sites Andalucía has to offer, with cities such as Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Malaga within reasonable driving distances. The scenic town of Ronda is also less than an hour's drive. If you fancy a visit to the African continent, a day-trip to Tangiers, in Morocco, is perfectly achievable, as the ferry port of Tarifa is only an hour's drive from our apartment, with regular 35 min crossings throughout the day.
Marbella has been a magnet to the rich and famous since the 70's, with its famous Puerto Banus marina (5 mins' drive from our apartment)attracting some of the largest yachts in the world, especially in the summer months. However, it managed to retain its warm andalusian charm. Surrounded by restaurants, night clubs, cafes and shopping, it is a very lively place. The town's old quarter with its winding cobbled streets is full of little restaurants and boutiques where one can sit for a nice meal while people watching. The beach front promenade is also buzzing with restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours.
The traditional Spanish towns of Estepona and San Pedro de Alcántara are also within 5 minutes of our apartment. Both have a typical laid back Spanish atmosphere, with their white washed houses adorned with flower pots. Weekly markets can be found in Estepona, San Pedro, Puerto Banús and Marbella.
Our apartment is our vacation home and we have taken great pride in ensuring it is comfortable and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 of them with en-suite bathrooms, plus a separate shower room. Being on the ground floor of a 3-storey building, it is suitable for families with young children and persons with reduced mobility. The living room is spacious, with two sofas, coffee and side tables and dining table and chairs for six. It leads to a terrace with lounge furniture and a dining table. The master bedroom also has its own little sunny terrace, ideal for breakfast or for that evening drink. Our kitchen is fully kitted out, with a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, blender, electric grill and much more. It also has a utility room. There is also an underground parking space, although on street parking is not usually a problem.
We have international TV channels and WIFI. The apartment is also air conditioned, although it is usually very cool in summer.
We are fortunate to have a trusted person looking after our apartment. If required, she could help with the cleaning for a fee during your stay.
