About our home

This is a beautiful house full of Sri Lankan style antiques set in a big garden and attached to Calamansi Cove Villas hotel - hence a share of all those facilities, the beach and the pool with direct access through the gardens.
It has huge long terraces, with big day beds, benches and outdoor dining and seating area, a large open plan indoor sitting and dining room with open kitchen.
3 ensuite bedrooms with semi outdoor showers, the Calamansi Cove Villas hotel housekeeping will sweep and clean for you daily, there is airon in all rooms, and the GM of the hotel will oversee your stay and help you get around and visit Sri Lanka. It is designed in traditional Sri Lankan style and totally beautiful and peaceful. It has access to massage and a yoga teacher who will do that in the garden pavilion
You will be able to order food through the Chef at the restaurant which is a minute's walk away and thereby make your lives easier and eat that either in the house, or on the beachfront at the restaurant. All are interconnected so its very easy to manage. Otherwise the GM can order you a Tuk Tuk to go shopping and cook at home.
Please note that there will be a daily service fee charged for the housekeeping and for the weekly washing of the sheets and towels/ pool towels as we/hotel have to send all the large laundry out. This fee is USD20 per day. The housekeeping will come tidy up your rooms and sweep floors, and tidy mosquito nets etc.
However there is a small washing machine for washing kids clothes which we are allowed to do on site, this is all to do with the eco-friendliness of the property. There is a final exit cleaning fee of USD100 at the end of the stay which is paid to the hotel team.
This is a quiet place with a heavenly quiet beach with local fishermen going out to see every evening, so there is always something to watch.
There is a local supermarket which is well stocked nearby a short tuk tuk ride away.
The GM Shalini will oversee your stay and make sure you are totally comfy and happy.
The hotel has a lifeguard and you can use the poolside as well.

Neighbourhood

Wonderful location on the South West Coast of Sri Lanka and set next to a small boutique hotel (whose facilities - pool, restaurant, massage and spa can be used) as well as walk through to get to the beach which is set on a beautiful private cove. In a traditional private village which is charming to walk through, there is a super market and local fruit, meats and vegetables sellers, with a local organic market every Thursday afternoon. Easy access to surfing in Hikkaduwa 15 minutes away, scuba diving in Bentota 20 minutes away and then of course the wonderful villages to visit all round as well as the Madu Ganga lagoon safari. As well as the UNESCO heritage Galle Fort for retail therapy and lots of culture.
