About our home

Located on a 100 acre tea plantation in the Knuckles hills outside Kandy, the property has a beautiful waterfall in the back garden, as well as swimming pool and tennis court, and is fully staffed with cook, cleaners and gardeners. The cook is accomplished at both local food and Western.

The six bedrooms are all doubles and all have bathrooms. The house was constructed in the 1930s, by British planters, and in the style of the time is all on one floor.

The surrounding area is very peaceful and beautiful - it is easy to wander for several hours on the estate, or for miles through government estates which surround our property, through breathtaking scenery. The bird life is also terrific.

Within an hour is Kandy, the second city of Sri Lanka, with the famous temple of the tooth. Two hours drive to the north of us is the Cultural Triangle.
