House - Galle Fort

Malabar House is an old-world era private villa, with some parts of the property dating back to the mid-1600s. Sleeping up to 6 guests, the house offers a haven of tranquility within Galle Fort. The house consists of multiple elements, including the large airy formal sitting & dining area decorated with antiquities and curios, which we refer to as the Great Room. Beyond this welcoming space is a large private courtyard featuring a 24ft swimming pool (one of only a few inside Galle Fort) shaded with mature frangipani trees, and flanked with a colonnade of arches. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the ground floor, with a master bedroom and en-suite on the first floor. All bedrooms are equipped with A/C. The master bedroom leads out onto a balcony overlooking the pool, and upper sun terrace, with loungers and covered seating. At the heart of the house is the kitchen, where our wonderful staff provide daily breakfast, teas and coffees.

The house is not suitable for young children.

Breakfast is always included with additional at-home dining opportunities available. Guests can relax by our swimming pool, unwind on the upper sun terrace, or drink, dine, and play games in the Great Room.
