About our home

Our house has two levels and a floor area of 300m2. The garden is 2000m2. So there is lot of room inside and outside. We have 4 bedrooms + one guestroom, 3 bathrooms and a sauna (you wont need that in summertime!). We have a large kitchen where we also dine. From the kitchen you can go out to the garden. 2 livingrooms, one is with a open fire and is more like a activityroom. 1 playroom with a wardrobe full of toys an cloth to dress up with. Nice if you have children and its bad weather! Then there is a tvättstuga=laundryroom. It is really quiet where we live and far from larger roads. We have a small foodmarket just 3 min walk from here, thats handy when you just need something.
We are non smokers and we do not have any pets.

More about us

  1. We are a family of five and full of life. Jan-Erik(53) works as an engineer, Wanja(52) is a nurse. Our three "kids" (22-26) are all out of the house to study somewhere else, but they like to come home and visit. We like outdoor activities such as hiking, biking or just nice walks.
If you want to visit Stockholm for a weekend or few days you are most welcome to visit us even if we are at home. Our guestroom has its own entrance and bathroom. And then maybe we can visit you!

Where is it?

Åkerberga has 25.000 habitants and is more like a sleeptown for Stockholm. It leis on the coast of the Baltic Sea. You can take a bike and you will be there in 15 min. We have a lot of nice small lakes around where you can take a swim. In Sweden we have Allemansrätten=the right of public access. That everyone has the right to be out in the countryside. More about this on http://www.swedishepa.se/ Stockholm is just 30 km from Åkersberga and you can go there by bus, train or car. In Stockholm there is so much to do and see. You can better read more about Stockholm and what to do on: www.stockholmtown.com If you want you can take a cruise to Finland or Estonia, it's not very expensive. Read more about this on: www.birkacruises.se It's really good fun to go by boat and travel through the magnificent arcipilago of Stockholm.
