About our home

Not extravagant, but a perfectly normal, orderly, comfortable, well-built and well-maintained Swedish home. Fully equipped kitchen and a livingroom that is spacious, bright and cosy, with play section for the little kids, ps3 for the other kids and wide-screen tv/wifi for the rest. Three bedrooms upstairs - two are children's rooms, one is the master bedroom. Extra mattresses can be supplied. Lots of toys, small garden with a view, a canoe that you may borrow if you have a roof-rack or rails on your car, bikes for a family of four.

More about us

  1. We're a couple in our mid 40's with two children, a girl born in 2002 and a boy born in 2004.

  2. Anders is a solicitor and Maria is a freelance writer.

  3. We've travelled extensively, and love the outdoors, flea markets and vibrant cities. We've done lots of home exchanges over the years and love this way of travelling. We find it especially rewarding to swap homes with families with children in, roughly, the same ages, but of course we're also interested in other opportunities!

Buzzy restaurants
There are plenty of places in the city, just ask us.
Cool bars
Take your pick - trendy area of Linné, or the good old fashioned Avenyn - you'll find plenty of bars i Göteborg.
Cozy cafés
Gothenburg/Göteborg has lots of little cafés, you can spend an entire day with
Retail therapy
We are flea market afficionados, but we can also tell you about other shopping of course :-)
Bit of culture
We can recommend some museums that you and your children will enjoy.
Walks in the park
For kids - the large and actually very pleasant and clean amusement park Liseberg.
Spot of exercise
Walking and camping opportunities nearby! We especially recommend a walking path along a wonderful little creek in a ravine - 10 minutes from here. Riding also a possibility, and biking.
Day tripping
Borrow our canoe (and/or rent one at the nearby canoe rental) and spend a day - or just an hour! - at the quiet lake nearby. We'll point you to some truly stunning canoe trails! It's easy, you don't need to be experienced.
