About our home

We offer a spacious, clean and quiet house with a big private garden and a deck. It has a fully equipped and cozy kitchen, a large livingroom with wood stove downstairs and two bedrooms and a new bathroom with seperate shower and bath upstairs. It's completely renovated and newly furnished recently, with a mix of modern and typical Swedish design combined with a personal style which gives the place a very welcoming and warm feeling.

Where is it?

Bjurbäcken is a very small and quiet rural hamlet in an area that's surrounded by lakes and forests. It offers excellent hiking, cycling, all sorts of watersports and fishing. Towns with all major facilities (shops, banks, etc) are only a 10 minute drive away. Several good restaurants and a beautiful spa can be found in the neighbourhood. Close by are several golfcourses, beautifully located and surprisingly quiet. The Bjurbäcken Slussar, which in summer holds a nice little cafe with outside terrace and occasional live music (only at daytime!) is only a two minute walk away. Deer, moose, beaver (Bjurbäcken means beavercreek) crane birds and other wildlife can be spotted easily around our house. Bigger cities like Karlstad and Karlskoga and the beautiful old town of Örebro (good for restaurants and shopping) are a one hour drive away, Stockholm is two and a half hours.
