About our home

Our lovely modern apartment block was built in 2010 in the leafy Stockholm area of Gamla Enskede with good connections. A beautiful villa area just 10 minutes from trendy Södermalm and central Stockholm.

The apartment is bright and sunny. It has a main bedroom with double bed and access to the balco. There are two further bedrooms, one with a single bed and a sofa bed and one with a bunk bed. There is a bright and spacious kitchen with all mod cons seating 6 people with access to the living room.

The apartment building is a child-friendly place where the kids play in the playground outside. There is the possibility of our parking space if we are away with the car, otherwise street parking is always an option. Stockholm is very easy to get around without a car and renting bikes is a great option, or borrow ours.

We have a hamster, let us know if you would like to give him food during a swap.

More about us

  1. We are a couple with two children who loves travelling. We are British/Swedish and would love to explore other parts of the world, especially Hong Kong, New Zealand, Vietnam, USA, Canada, Mexico or anywhere in Europe. Sun or ski; city breaks or places of historical or natural beauty are all of interest.

  2. David works in Insurance and Vanja is in Digital Marketing

  3. Our home has a very Scandinavian feel with clean lines and light colours with a mix of designer and repurposed items. We love design and photography. The flat is very child friendly and we still have potties, buggies, kids bikes and a travel cot for smaller kids if needed even though ours are now 4 and 8.

Where is it?

Gamla Enskede is a so called "garden city", and was planned and built between 1904 and 1945. A lot of the architecture remains the same and the area has lots of freestanding houses with gardens. With its proximity to central Stockholm and metro running until 1am during the week and all night over the weekend it is easy to get to and only 10-15 minutes. The area has lots of nice cafés and restaurants near Sandsborg metro and the UNESCO site Skogskyrkogården, a cemetary designed by architect Gunnar Asplund is a mere 15 minute walk away. The area is also near Slakthusområdet with one of Stockholm's best rooftop bars, and also Tolv, an entertainment hub for a rainy day, with restaurants, bowling, karaokee, mini golf, all situated underneath the Tele2 Arena next to the Globen Arena (both visible from the apartment).
