About our home

Beautiful and spacious old house from 1914 in a small farm village 80 km from Stockholm. Living here is amazing and if you love taking hikes in the deep wild forrest, swimming in any of the nearby lakes, or spending time with the milk cows in the fields, you have found the right place!

The property is pretty big (3000 m2) and full of fruit trees and lawns. The sun floods the garden and the house with light all day. There are two fireplaces, one upstairs and one downstairs, for extra heat and pleasure. Do you like to play music? There are sound systems on both floors (one portable) and you can play as late and as loud as you want. You are also welcome to play the Fender guitar if you like. There is a projector with an Apple TV connected with HBO Nordic, Netflix and SVTPlay installed and payed for.

Getting to Stockholm City takes about an hour. Either all the way by car or drive 10 min to the closest town Gnesta, park there and take the 35 min train.

Two out door cats live here. Staying here might mean taking care of them a bit, like emptying the litter box and giving them food. There is only one proper bathroom (located downstairs), but it's accessible for everyone in the house. No need to pass through others rooms.

Anyone is welcome except racists, homophobes, sexists and people who refuse taking their outdoor shoes off :)

One room is occupied by my subletter. She’s not allways home but know that she might be.

The house is old and I'm gently and slowly restoring it. It has a cosy vintage feel to it and won’t be the all perfect white and modern kind of place.
