About our home

Our family has a nice stonehouse built in 1926. We moved in three years ago and spend a lot of time renovating and modernizing it. It has lots of space and a modern kitchen in the center of the ground floor. From the kitchen there is a good view to the living room and the dining room. The bedrooms are upstairs, and our new modern bathroom was just finished a couple of months ago. The master bedroom is large with a king size bed and a balcony. There is lots of space for the kids to play, and a nice area to relax on the sofa or watch TV.

More about us

  1. My name is Isabelle, I'm going on 40 years old. My husbands name is Klas, he is going on 42. I am a barbershop singer and I spend a lot of time with my chorus and my quartet, rehersing and singing at all kinds of events. Klas is a devoted hobby carpenter. Professionaly we are both economists. We have two children, a girl called Alice (5) and a boy called Harald (3). Harald is very much into cars at the moment, and Alice is developing a deep interest for animals. We have two guinea pigs that brighten our days, they are called Tutti and Frutti (the kids cousins named them, don't blame us). We haven't travelled much since the kids were born, so we are longing to visit other places with them. Hope to hear from you if you have any suggestions about exchanging homes next summer. If you don't like guinea pigs we can send them off to vacation too... Best regards, Isabelle, Klas and the children.

Where is it?

Helsingborg is the city in Sweden that is closest to Denmark. It has 120.000 inhabitants. Our house is situated in a little fishing village called Råå, south of Helsingborg. We live 300 meters from the best beach in Helsingborg, called Råå vallar. The neighbourhood is quiet but just a couple of blocks away is the central village road with a grocery store, a drug store, hair dressers, a bakery and some other small shops. A large supermarket can also be found five minutes walk from our house. The bus to Helsingborg leaves every 20 minutes, and from there you can take a ferry to Helsingör in Denmark which takes another 20 minutes. Copenhagen is an hour and a halfs travel away from our house, and Malmö, which is Swedens third largest town, is 45 minutes away. From Råå you can get on a fishing boat and go for a half day fishing excursion. You can also reach the island Ven, with ancient history from the times when we used to belong to Denmark, via ferrys from Råå.
