About our home

Our house is a typical wooden Swedish house, not too big, but very cosy.
The very light livingroom has 4 really big windows, each with its own lovely view.
The spaceous kitchen is styled in vintage/'50 style and has a lovely view.
On the first floor there is a small bathroom and 2 bedrooms (sleeps 3 p)and a working area.
The cellar houses our woodstove which heats the central heating and warm water supplies and which is easy to operate. Enjoy rural Swedish life!

We have 2 more accommodations on our property (which is about 59,000 m2 of pastures and woodland). If you would like to come with more than 3 people, it is good to know that right beside our house there is a very cosy studio (best place according to our 18 year old daughter:) and a cottage (about 100 mtrs) where another 4 people can sleep.
The cottage is self-contained with a kitchen, shower, toilet, bunkbeds and a bedsofa in the livingroom.

There is even a former henshouse which you can use as an artstudio.

And there is a barn/stable, plus a small garage.

Our house lies on top of a small hill, overlooking pastures all around. Very picturesquely bordered with ancient stone walls. At the edge of the pastures commences the beautiful forest. You will be amazed by all the different shades of green and the different kinds of moss. This is the home of roedeer, moose, badgers, foxes and raven.

We live a bit off the main road and you'll have complete privacy here. It is very tranquil, but you may hear the song of cranes or raven.
We dearly love this place: )

More about us

  1. We are family of 4. For 10 years ago we moved from Holland to the south of Sweden and we have enjoyed our beautiful surroundings ever since.

We share Korpakulla with our beloved Labrador Nina, cats and our Icelandic ponies.

If you rather not take care of our animals, we can arrange that someone else take care of them. However, we feel it is very important you like cats and dogs as they share the house with you!

You are very welcome to come and stay for free in our stuga prior to our swap, so we can show you around! Now that is a good offer is it!
Flights are very cheap with Ryanair!

We would like to get to know you a bit better before the exchange, which is easily done by mail and/or Skype.

We are looking forward to meeting you!

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

It is about 8 km from the nearest village along a beautiful winding road.
Here you will find a small grocerystore, gasstation, 3 restaurants.
A larger village is about 20 km away, with more services available.

Astrid Lindgren's world, which is a popular venue for all small and bigger children, is about 2 hours drive away. Here you will meet with
Pippi Longstocking and all her other characters. Really well done.

Cities of interest are Växjö, Kalmar, Kristianstad, Karlshamn, Karlskrona.
Bigger cities like Malmö, Gothenburg are about 250 km away from us. Stockholm is about 400 km. Obviously worth a trip.

In this area you will also find the well-known glassworks like Kosta Boda, Orrefors etc etc. See how they form beautifl artglass!
