“The exchange with Maria and Lars has been perfect: a spacious, bright and comfortable house, with all the amenities we could need. In a nice and quiet area, which we walked all around, with a lot of spaces for children to play, not to tell the forest, right next to the house, and the lakes there. From time to time we were visited by a deer, who was not scared to see us! And close to the great city of Gothenburg: Liseberg park, Universeum, Haga district, the archipelagos by ferry... The exchange has been great, we strongly recommend it!”

“We swapped with Lars and Maria for 9 days over July 2017. It was a really enjoyable experience. Their house is situated in a quiet neighourhood amongst three parks and next to a forest and a beautiful lake. It is perfect for a family with small children. There is lots to do in Lerum itself, with a swimming pool, lakes, shops and train into Gothenburg. Gothenburg is 30 minutes away with parks, gardens, museums, outdoor swimming pool. See the gothenburg tourist website for lots of ideas. Lars and Maria really looked after our home and car. We communicated well before and during the swap and we shared costs of swapping cars/car park costs. They are really nice people and we enjoyed the whole process. We would thoroughly recommend this house swap to anyone who is interested in visiting Sweden.”
Where is it?
Located in a very nice little community on the Almekärr plateau on the edge of the area thus facing the forest within 20 minutes walk to two beautiful lakes where in summer it is possible to swim, fish, windsurf, paddle canoe etc. In winter time you can hike, ski or ice-skate on them.
The forest just outside the house on one side is perfect for walking, mountain biking and catch a glimps of a deer or two and there is horse riding stables not far away.
Located in a safe area and the last bit is car free area, with three playgrounds lituarly outside the yard makes it perfect for a family with kids. But since it comes with garage or just 10 minutes’ walk down to the train-station that takes you in 17 minutes straight in to the big city of Gothenburg it is also suitable for working person/couple as well or anyone who want to have the best of both worlds with outdoor activity as well as the buzzing city life with shopping/clubs etc..
