About our home

Our lovely apartment is situated on the ground floor of a characteristic apartment building, right in the centre of Gothenburg. It's about 90 m2 and includes a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious living room and cosy bedroom. There also is a communal garden to enjoy the sun or barbecue in the summers. The apartment is decorated in an industrial style, yet cosy, with characteristic details of Gothenburg-style architecture. Examples of the latter are the high ceilings with ornament decorations, the big sliding doors to the bedroom and wide windowsills. There is a grand piano in the living room and a lovely hangout spot we created on the windowsill in the bedroom. The apartment is best suitable for a couple.

The apartment's location is very convenient; it's only a 1-minute walk away from Gothenburg's public-transport hub 'Korsvägen', which makes travelling to any part of the city (or outside) very easy. Here, you can also find the stop for a shuttle bus which can take you to the Landvetter airport in about 20 minutes. The apartment also borders a nice public park on one side, while it's right around the corner of various great museums and 'Liseberg' as well -- one of Scandinavia's most famous amusement parks. Bars, restaurants and supermarkets aplenty in the neighbourhood, with the mega-supermarket ICA Focus just on a few-minutes walk away.

We are a young couple (doctor and a consultant) with a Swedish and Dutch background. We're more than happy to give you tips on what to do in Gothenburg and to help you out with any requests you might have; we'll see what we can do. We would like to swap homes with someone living in or close to Amsterdam.
