We are searching for a exchange during the summer 2016, preferably in any of the Mediterranean countries in a location close to the sea.
Our house is situated in Sweden, Alsike (Knivsta)
Living in Alsike means, besides the wonderful and clean environment, that you will have a very good geographic position to Stockholm, Arlanda airport (15 min by car) and Uppsala.
The house (125 sqm) was built in 2004 and have 2 floors. On the first floor we have a large combined living and dining room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a combined laundry and guest toilet. There is a lovely garden and pool deck where you can enjoy your meal, have a barbeque or just hang out. On the top floor there are 3 bedrooms, a small and cosy space (with a bed) where the kids use to watch tv and a bathroom with shower and tub.
By walking distance from our house there is a small store and a pizzeria. A few minutes by car you will find several stores with all the service you need such as food, pharmacy, bakery, flowers etc.
Although near to the big cities there are plenty of green spaces in Alsike´s surroundings. Nearby you will find jogging tracks and forest areas for recreation. Close to our home there is a beautiful lake (Valloxen) where we like to go swimming. The environment is very child friendly and you will find a lot of playgrounds a few minutes away.
The communication is very good and the bus stop is close, making it easy to get where you want even without a car. The train stops in the center of Knivsta and it takes only 28 minutes to Stockholm Central Station and 9 minutes to the station in Uppsala. We would like to do a car exchange if you can consider the same. Bicycles are available.
Stockholm city centre has a lot to offer - interesting culture, shopping, nature and restaurants. Stockholm also has a lot to explore by boat - the archipelago just outside the city has 30 000 islands of which many are easily accessible by public boats.
Uppsala is home to the Nordic region’s oldest university founded in 1477, but the city itself and neighbouring Gamla Uppsala dating all the way back to the Viking era. Revel in modern Uppsala’s bar, restaurant and café scene, or browse the shops, boutiques and malls for unique Swedish design items.
