About our home

Our two story custom design home is at the dead end of the street with a beautiful view. Grass lawn, pond with lilies and a little water cascade to a lower lawn. Cozy and comfortable with everything you need for a great getaway. You have 3 bedrooms (master suite downstairs, with a king size bed 210x210 and one bathroom near; upstairs: one with a queen size bed; one with a single bed) to choose from. We also have a big comfortable couch downstairs which can be used by two people. Two big bathrooms altogether. Laundry room, drying room.
A spacious kitchen is opened into the living room. A fireplace in the living room and outdoor chimney as well. Patios with outdoor furniture on both sides of the house, grill and open-air sitting, just follow the sun or sit in the shade. The sunsets are simply breathtaking from the patio.

We have a nice garden, so one of the things that need to be dome during your stay in summer is taking care of the lawn, which needs to be clipped about once a week. We had exchanges with other families who have gardens and we took care of each other's green treasures. If you are not willing to mow the lawn yourself, please let us know in advance, so we can try to arrange someone to do it, but you will have to pay for their service. There are also potted flowers to water inside the house and outside.

More about us

  1. We are a family of three, Per is 67, a retired Airforce pilot; Svetlana is 55, a sociolinguist at the university of Lund, and our Mom, who is 80, has recently moved to live with us.. Our kids are grown and no longer travel with us. We love to exchange and meet people. We used to sail and camped around Southern Europe many times. So far, we have exchanged over 20 times for the last 12 years. We like to get to know other countries in depth, spend some time there to get into the local spirit and to appreciate everything.
Many of our exchange families became our friends!

We will take care of your home just like we would care for our own.
We would be happy to share our home with a family, which would treat our home, our grass lawn, and our plants with care and respect.

  2. Over the years we had a number of wonderful exchanges with big city dwellers, who wanted to spend some quiet days in the country; however, in summer we prefer to stay away from the big cities. Places by the sea are preferred. During the year we are happy to do city exchanges. During the summer we would like to book exchanges for 2-3 weeks or longer.

  3. We have made a number of updates to our home, such as a brand new big 210x210 continental bed, some new appliances, garden furniture etc. We hope it would make your stay even more enjoyable! We thoroughly prepare our house for our guests providing them with space for their things and clothes, beach chairs and toys, beach towels, umbrella, picnic bag. Upon request, you can use our bicycles. We also have a detailed manual for our house, which includes current information what to do around Scania, hiking trails, cultural events.

Where is it?

We are located 5 kilometers from Angelholm, a small cozy town by the sea. There is a supermarket in the village. The playground 25 meters away from the front door. There is a bike road to town and to the beaches, which are 6 kilometers away. Vast and sandy beaches of Skalderviken with gorgeous dunes and a pine forest right behind it. You can take a walk in the forest, swim and fish in the lakes and in the sea.
35 kilometers from Denmark. Day trips to Copenhagen, Helsingor (where Kronberg, the castle of Hamlet is located) , Helsingborg, Lund, Malmo etc. National parks are nearby. There are golf courses too.
Avid hikers would find a picturesque trail going all the way along the coastline quite enticing.

Buzzy restaurants
A wonderful cafe/restaurant 'Flikornas Lundgren' (Lundgren's maidens), and lots of other small cafes along the coast.
Bit of culture
Kullen national park in Mölle, Kronberg castle of Hamlet.
Walks in the park
Skaneleden trail linking the coastal towns.
Day tripping
Helsingor, Copenhagen.
