About our home

We offer a villa with a 1 1/2 plane built in 1992 with a lush beautiful easy-care garden. The plot is hidden by a beautiful dense hedge in summer, so you can walk around in a bikini without anyone watching you :-) Last summer my husband built a new large sun terrass (picture coming soon).

We also have a small kitchen garden where we grow rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries and strawberries. This does not require much work and you are welcome to enjoy the berries when you stay in our house. We have a swingset in our garden for children and lots of other toys.

We have a good sized kitchen with everything you need plus a spacious table for at least 6 people. On the first floor we have a kitchen, living room with a spacious sofa and fireplace for chilly days. From the living room you come out to our built-in porch, where it's nice to sit and eat in the evening sun. We also offer a grill for good kocking during summertime.

Downstairs you will also find two bedrooms for children, one with broader bed, 120 cm and one with a regular 90 cm. We also have one toilet and shower on the first floor. Upstairs we have a large bedroom with new double-bed coming and with toilet. Also one bedroom for children with a regular 90 cm bed (also perfect for an adult).

More about us

  1. We are a family of five, I, Jaana, 46 years, Tony, my husband, 48 years and our children John, age 16, Simon, 14 years and Theo, 11 years old. I work as a marketing assistant/inside sales staff and my husband has a company providing digital marketing. We very much enjoy being outdoors and near the ocean with our family. We are a sportif family and our eldest kids John practise Iaido / Haidong gumdo, Simon streetdance and Theo Brazilian Jiu jitsu. Me and my husband also train at the gym, like to run in nearby forest and my husband also trains Iaido / Haedong gumdo. :-) The kids also love music, and John plays the guitar, Simon plays the piano and Theo has started to learn to play the flute.

We are very interested to get to know different culture, other places and meeting interesting people. Travelling and letting our children to experience this, is our goal. We will take care of your home as it would be ours and welcome you to ours like it would be yours!

Where is it?

Take a break here – and don’t miss the chance of making a new acquaintance with one of Sweden’s historic towns.

You’re close to the sea, scenic countryside, a nice dinner and a pleasant place to stay.

Nyköping is located on the coast right in the heart of Sörmland’s cultural landscape with many exciting and beautiful excursions within reach.

We live in a moderately large town http://www.nykopingsguiden.se/en/ You can find almost everything here. We are close to recreation areas (2 min) with jogging trails and picnic sites. We also have a playground in the vicinity for young children. The area we live on is quiet and is inhabited by many families. Outside town are hiking trails, hills to climb and kayaks to rent. Discover eagles and seals from the deck of a tour boat, explore a castle, find a bargain at an auction or cycle along a bike path with a well-stocked picnic basket hanging from your handlebars.

We have a beach just outside Nyköping, about 13 km, and nearby cities Oxelösund (15 km) with many beaches and cliffs and Nävekvarn (25 km) which is at sea. Read more about the great lakes we swim in: http://www.nykopingsguiden.se/en/Visit-Nykoping/See--do/Outdoor-activities--adventures/Swimming/Swimming-in-the-lakes/

It is 5 km down to the town where you'll find shopping, fine restaurants and cozy cafés. We have Nyköpings house, which is an old castle. You also have a museum near the castle. http://www.infonykoping.se/new.php?true?135?rating The port is also within walking distance of city center and offers restaurants, fine canoe stage and large playground.

Do wish to travel a bit, you have Stockholm, our capital city, only one hour by train or car. It is built on 14 islands, surrounded by park land and beaches, and has the same size equaling in water. Children under 12 travel free with an adult if you take the train.

It’s easy to get to Scandinavia’s largest Wildlife Park in Kolmården, just 40 minutes by car. http://www.kolmarden.com/Om-Kolmarden/Sprak/English/
