“We enjoyed a 12 days stay at their home in Nyköping on August 2018 and it was a fantastic experience! We highly recommend to exchange houses with Jaana, Tony and their sons. They were very kind to leave us some food, toys and prepare a list with recommendations of places to go and things to do with children. The house was really nice, clean and comfortable for a family, with a spacious garden and many toys for our son Max. We really felt at home! Their neighbours where also very kind with us during our stay and they even invited us for a very tasty swedish dinner at their front terrace. The location of the house was perfect to visit Nyköping and a variety of natural places and villages nearby. It was also very easy to get to visit Stocholm from there. We were very happy to meet Jaana and her beautiful family and want to thank them for taking very good care of our place and for being so helpful with all we needed during our visit to Sweden. All the Best to this family! ”

“We had a great summer in Nyköping and Sweden and a successful exchange with this family. The house is located in a nice and quiet villa neighbourhood close to a forest and several supermarkets. We especially enjoyed the Nyköping harbour with its restaurants, the scenic stone archipelago along the coast, beautiful and calm scenic drives in the area with many visits to castles and the like - and a lot of opportunities to visit the romantic Swedish cafes (with nice cakes!). And of course - Stockholm is very close and worth a visit - or several! We met with this family on our way to Nyköping and had a really pleasant meeting. Everything worked out fine and we have the best impression of the family. Thanks a lot for a nice exchange!”
Where is it?
Take a break here – and don’t miss the chance of making a new acquaintance with one of Sweden’s historic towns.
You’re close to the sea, scenic countryside, a nice dinner and a pleasant place to stay.
Nyköping is located on the coast right in the heart of Sörmland’s cultural landscape with many exciting and beautiful excursions within reach.
We live in a moderately large town http://www.nykopingsguiden.se/en/ You can find almost everything here. We are close to recreation areas (2 min) with jogging trails and picnic sites. We also have a playground in the vicinity for young children. The area we live on is quiet and is inhabited by many families. Outside town are hiking trails, hills to climb and kayaks to rent. Discover eagles and seals from the deck of a tour boat, explore a castle, find a bargain at an auction or cycle along a bike path with a well-stocked picnic basket hanging from your handlebars.
We have a beach just outside Nyköping, about 13 km, and nearby cities Oxelösund (15 km) with many beaches and cliffs and Nävekvarn (25 km) which is at sea. It is 5 km down to the town where you'll find shopping, fine restaurants and cozy cafés. We have Nyköpings house, which is an old castle. You also have a museum near the castle. http://www.infonykoping.se/new.php?true?135?rating The port is also within walking distance of city center and offers restaurants, fine canoe stage and large playground.
Do wish to travel a bit, you have Stockholm, our capital city, only one hour by train or car. It is built on 14 islands, surrounded by park land and beaches, and has the same size equaling in water. Children under 12 travel free with an adult if you take the train.
