About our home

I am a visual artist with an extreme feeling for interior decoration. I've lived in and developed my home for 29 years now. It is an extremely beautiful place, with dear original art pieces. Because of this, I'd like to invite grown ups mainly. It is 65 square meters with an extremely nice neo-classicism air about it. All is preserved. Whitewashed sanded soft sprouce floors...

More about us

  1. My name is Anna and I am a fit and active visual artist living on my own in Malmö, Sweden. Close to the sea, 20 min from central Copenhagen, Denmark, by train or car across the Oresound bridge. We have a large green back yard in my private apartments building. Very good communications/public transport/service nearby. Large extra bathroom above my flat, and large laundry available as well. Close to the city centre, lots to do for free on offer by the City of Malmö in the summertime... I know most of my neighbors and everyone is very friendly, and will help if anyone needs this. Malmö is said to be one of the top three cities in the entire world when it comes to ethnicities per capita. This gives a culture of an extreme range of cuisines, interesting food markets, restaurants and other cultural expressions such as a lively dance- and music scene.

  2. I am a visual artist with a large studio 5 minutes from my home, and an allotment garden which is a true gem, a botanical heaven. The windows of my flat borders to our garden in the northwest and a double row of large trees in the southeast.

  3. My home is a very special adaption of the 1920'es new classicism style. I have added details from the 1940'es and 1950'es, which I love. There are aslo older antique pieces. There are lots of original art works iaround. I am fluent in English and went through the English school system as I grew up partly abroad. My nationality is Swedish.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Malmö is oozing with development. It is supposedly the centre of one of the livlyest developing regions in Northern Europe. Many international head quarters choose to relocate to Malmö with its vicinity to Copenhagen international Airport, CPH. The bridge (famous from the TV series sold across the world...) built in 2000, joins major Copenhagen area with that of Southern Sweden and Malmö at its center. Malmö is an old harbour city with a medieval city centre. It used to have a well known wharf and ship building industri (Kockums) which was closed down in the 1970'ies. The city has during the passed 30 years transformed itself into an international university city. I am born in Stockholm, one of the most beautiful cities of the world, known as The Venice of the North, but I am proud of having lived in Malmö for the passed 29 years. It is fascinating to be part of the regeneration of Swedens third city, in the most fertile region of the entire world (10+ on WHOs scale of 1-10!) with beaches that you don't see the likes of anywhere along the coasts of Europe... Having lived in Holland, visited France, Italy, Greece et cetera, I think I can honestly say this... Go to Knäbäckshusen... go to Hagestad, Sandhammaren or any of these beaches and you will understand what I mean. Some of them are only an hour away! And we do have a great beach inside Malmö city as well! And Skanör and Falsterbo as near as 30-40 minutes away. Lund with one of Europes oldest universities and a very special old city centre is 15 minutes away by train. Somewhere very special to go to, is Råå, an adorable little fishing village some hour away up north, just south of Helsingborg.

Buzzy restaurants
Mrs Brown at Davidshallstorg, Atmosfär at Fersens väg, there's lots of good restaurants.
Cool bars
Sky Bar at Malmö Live with an incredible view from the 28th floor 365 degrees... Centiliter & Gram at sStortorget; a nice scene of guests, several nice places at Lilla torg such as Koi, Mello Yello, etc.
Cozy cafés
Pronto on Lilla Torg is one of my favourites, but there are so many... Another really nice one is Café Slottsträdgården in the Castle Park.
Bit of culture
Lots of free artistic performances around town offered by Malmö City Board of Culture. Check out Sommarscen online!
Walks in the park
Malmö is known as the City of Parks... we have beautiful really large parks! The Kings Park, The Castle Park, Pildammsparken are the most famous ones.
Spot of exercise
All along Ribersborgs Beach you can exercise.
Day tripping
To the endless beautiful beaches of Skanör and Falsterbo you can go in just 30 minutes... Trekking on Skåneleden can be recommended. Ask the Tourist info at Central station for advice! I've walked several beautiful stretches on just day trips.
