About our home

Our home is a two storey town house in the central of the beautiful town Sigtuna.
It is a very nice quiet neighbourhood with friendly neighbours.
A five minute walk to the highstreet.
The house is located on a hill overlooking Sigtuna.
Our terrace is the perfect place for a lunch in the sun or a BBQ in the evening.
Enjoy the light summernight when the sun is up until 10-11 pm.

More about us

  1. I'm Karin and I am 45 years old.
I live with my two daughters Clara 17, and Nora 15.
I work as a salesrepresentative for a Danish homeware company.
We live in a small town, 40 minutes north of Stockholm, called Sigtuna.
We have never tried this before and are really looking forward to our first home exchange. We like to travel and have also lived abroad, in Austria and Scotland for a couple of years. Therefore we not only enjoy travelling as tourists but also getting an idea of the everyday life in another country.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Sigtuna is situated by the lake Mälaren where you can go for a swim, and it is only five minutes away from the house.
Sigtuna is Swedens oldest town with history from the viking times, the small town also offers many cafés and small shops.
And if you are interested in going to Stockholm it is only a 40 minute drive and there is also public transportation, busses and trains every half hour of the day. Here you can find everything a big city can offer, museums, conserts, shopping etc.
There are beautiful surroundings where you can go for a walk or a bikeride along the water, have lunch in the sun on the townsquare or go for a hike in the forest and pick som blueberries for the evenig desert.
